It stars Jammwal, Arjun Rampal, Nora Fatehi and Amy Jackson. It was billed as the first-ever extreme sports action film in India.

    In 1980s Bombay, Albert Arogyasami returns home after seven years on Christmas Eve. He goes to a restaurant, where he bumps into a man who seems to be running away from his date. Later, Albert meets the man’s date, Maria, and informs her about the situation. Maria is with her mute daughter, Annie, who seems to be the reason the man ran away. Albert introduces himself to Annie as Santa and gives her a Christmas gift. They spend some time together, and Maria invites Albert to celebrate Christmas at her house, to which he agrees.

    At Maria’s house, she puts Annie to bed and spends time with Albert. They dance together and share some wine. Albert leaves a gift under the Christmas tree in her house. Maria then invites Albert to go out for more fun, and they explore the city, forming a bond between them.

The film was released worldwide on 23 February 2024.

    The critics praised the performance of Yami Gautam Dhar but criticised the film for distortion of facts, depicting narratives favouring the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party due to the then-upcoming elections and for ignoring the views of the Kashmiris.

    Vettaiyan is a 2024 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by T. J. Gnanavel and produced by Subaskaran Allirajah’s Lyca Productions. The film stars Rajinikanth as Athiyan, a senior police officer, who accidentally shoots an innocent person during an encounter killing, while investigating the murder of a teacher. The cast also features Amitabh Bachchan (in his Tamil debut), Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Abhirami and Ramesh Thilak.

    The film was officially announced in March 2023 under the tentative title Thalaivar 170, as it is the 170th film with Rajinikanth as lead actor, and the official title was announced in December 2023. Principal photography commenced in October 2023 and ended in August 2024. It was shot in several locations including Thiruvananthapuram, Tirunelveli, Chennai, Mumbai, and Hyderabad. The film has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography handled by S. R. Kathir and editing by Philomin Raj.
